Seems Dinosaur will be taking part in a Pixies tribute album…

I hope they do gigantic, because the version J plays on at the fort apache party has some signs of genious.
That or debaser. Or both if AGAP is right.

i wonder if its just j contributing to the album and that why there’s a slash

i know lou was never a big fan of the pixies. ya never know but it never seemed to me he’d be covering pixies songs or contributing to a tribute.

That was my first thought when I read the article, I remember Lou mentioning he thought the pixies sound was small. But , stranger things have happened

yeah i remember asking him personally one time what he thought of the breeders and what he said was along the lines of:

"i never thought the pixies were as big as the hype they got i just thought there was better bands out there. the breeders.. they were better in my head, but i never really went/or go out of my way to put them on.

he said he owned last splash but hadnt listened to it in years haha.

then i remember him also telling me at another show that he heard bone machine and thought "wow this is a really good song" so.. who knows haha.

I’d like to hear Dinosaur Jr cover Vamos. I love the crazy delay pedal solo that Joey does in it and I bet J could rock that shit even harder.
