OK. The return of kurticus doesn’t know, but he has been kickin’ back on Miller Light as of late. Don’t ask why, he doesn’t know. Maybe it is because after drinking 15 of them kurticus can still be semi-sober, although going to the john every 10 minutes isn’t exactly the best way to spend the evening. Maybe it’s because said 15 pack only cost like $10 making for a long night of beer drinking at a cheap price.
So anyway, kurticus wants to know what your top five drinks of choice are (Kurticus is talking beer here, spirits and mixed drinks deserve their own thread)…
1-Bass-hands down, this is kurticus’s beer of choice.
2-Guiness-stands well on its own, very good with Bass in the infamous black and tan or with newcastle as a black and brown.
3-Samuel Smith’s Oatmeal Stout-These come in bombers (like 22 or 26 oz., I can’t remember) but is extremely delicious (also big fan of Sammy Smith’s Pale Ale and the two are interchangeable at the #2-spot.
4-Three Floyd’s Alpha King Pale Ale-This is a rare find, but one of my favs even though I only have it on rare occasions.
5-there is a plethora of beers (kurticus really enjoys the fine amount of microbrews that have flooded the american scene in recent years) that continually rotate through the #5-spot.Hahaha
January 12, 2007 at 4:23 pm #124842Girl likes that list but she’s more of a straight up spirits kind of girl. So now she doesn’t know what to say so she’s going to get out of here.

January 12, 2007 at 4:32 pm #124843But what makes Kurticus and his returning self drink beer that tastes like water(miller in any shape or form.)
guinnes is great. boddington pub ale is sometimes better. lapin kulta for the warm summer days and tuborg for your rock & roll drunkenness.
if you are inclined to drink something else than beer, all valpolicella wines are perfect. and proper cuban rum will make you happy.January 12, 2007 at 5:07 pm #124844I like Black and Tans. Its either that or a straight up Guiness.
January 12, 2007 at 5:09 pm #124845OK. As is often the case on this board, the content is already rapidly diverting away from the original topic at hand. Back to beer, and only beer. Play by the rules set forth in the first post of the topic or else!!!
HAHAHHAHAHA. You know Kurticus is kidding right? right? guys?

OOOHHH! And let kurticus not forget to mention Pete’s Wicked Ale. Oo la la, what a good beer.

January 12, 2007 at 5:10 pm #124846Tonas, my last post was not directed to you as it seems we were typing at the same time. Robert…Girl…Kurticus is looking in your direction…

After Tonas’s reply, Guiness seems to be taking a strong lead! Maybe this topic would be better suited to a poll, rather then a thread?

January 12, 2007 at 5:18 pm #124848Nope, kurticus fully believes the sheer diversity of beverages of an alcoholic nature lends itself to the necessity of sorting drinks of similar type into their own unique threads. One for beer, one for liquor, and one for wine. So nya to you.

January 12, 2007 at 5:31 pm #124853He is only one man, I’ll give you that. Nevertheless, he is the man that wouldn’t accept such an answer. He really is. I know him. He needs to dive deep into his psyche and release the solution to this riddle upon the world.
