They’re all pretty much the same, except for when the band plays two or three nights at the same club. It’s kind of a bummer, given how many great songs they could be playing if they mixed things up a bit. Hopefully this won’t be the pattern for subsequent tours.

I was saying I had a pic of the set list. Besides, others may want to see it…wasn’t aware this thread was only to serve your interests, apologies.

well, there are of course a lot of tunes from Where U been, Without a Sound and Hand it over. Green mind aswell, which hasn’t been done for years. For people seeing dinosaur many times a year and watching the setlists posted, there is always a wish for new tunes. Can’t blame the setlist yet though when there are so many new tunes from Beyond, plus now feel the pain and out there.

But they know so many more. Repulsion, Tarpit, Lung, Yeah We Know, No Bones, Severed Lips, Quest, etc. have been retired. Sorry, but Feel the Pain is not an adequate replacement for any of those. They should at least switch Out There and Feel the Pain in and out of the set with other tunes.

I remember when Lou was on 120 Minutes with Bob Mould around ’94 and he was grousing about "Dino-bore," which he also labeled "Dino-play-the-same-set-every-night-saur." At the time that wasn’t an accurate description, as J used to change things up a bit from night to night. But it’s more than a little ironic that they’re now, with Lou back in the band, settling into precisely the routine he complained about back then. It must get monotonous for them.

repulsion, tarpit , quest etc are played once in a while..

had they been played all the time, people would request for others.
but, I will request for quest or severed lips when seeing them in Europe.

I don’t really need to hear feel the pain either, but it’s a sure hit among the non so fanatic fans.

                        Cool deal…

As for the setlist issue…Sebadoh played virtually the same set list EVERY NIGHT on their last tour. As for the opening for the Black Keys thing, I couldn’t see them switching around. The tour is creep, between every song someone was on the side of the stage with a piece of paper showing the exact time so they wouldn’t go over at all. It was lame. J made a few comments like "We now have 19 minutes left to play for you." "I think we have enough time for this last song." He seemed amused by the ridiculousness of it all. J seemed a lot more upbeat and "talkative"…I mean, he said something between nearly every song. Not just "thank you…" They all seem really happy on now. It’s great to see.

J’s guitar went out after the first 8 notes of Almost Ready to open the set and when Lou and Murph stopped, we all began cheering like they’d played the best song ever…even me, probably looking like a fucktard in the photo area…iand they all laughed. Murph and Lou smiled the whole show. Even J cracked a few smiles. When I was like "That was awesome!" to see Out There mere inches away, Murph nodded at me and smiled. I think they’re having a great time with this and that’s more important that playing a similar setlist each night. Honestly, 80% or more of the audience hasn’t been to any other show on the tour, so they don’t know the difference.
