I was too lazy to try to teach my songs to other kids so I finally got around to recording some stuff on my own. Some of these recordings you can find here: http://www.myspace.com/jimtownresident

They’re pretty lo-fi since I used a cheapy Best Buy microphone and a cassette 4-track. Bass was run through a Boss distortion pedal and then plugged directly into the 4-track since I only have a lousy 15 watt bass amp. Guitar was an SG into a Fender Vibrolux tube amp, with an Ibanez Tubescreamer for lead wanking. I overdubbed an acoustic in some parts for a sort of flanging / chorus effect.

I wrote, performed, and recorded all of the parts all by myself, if it means anything. I just got my drums like a week ago, so they’re a little on the sloppy side.

These are some great melodies in this song. The melodies seem to be more important everyday. It’s been years since I listened to a song without a lynching gator bite cross reference. Thanks for this track 1.

I don’t even know what a lynching gator bite cross is…but I guess that worked to my advantage!
