That is true. I noticed that thread. But now they actually made it, and the other was like a "what if they made it" kinda deal. Whatever, I guess I shoulda just posted it in that thread. Ah, oh well!
thanks skater i didnt notice the other thread till now. i dont make it to the deepest depths of the forum often these days. i ussually just check a few sections.
i definetely want one of those jazzmasters.

Thanks for asking!The picture of J is from an ebay auction to benefit the "Don’t Stop The Rock" Film Festival(J is on the board of directors of the festival)".Not sure exactly where it was taken,maybe at Allison Anders’ pad .The second photo is of that same guitar in my home after I won that auction. I jokingly refer to it as the J.Mascis Les Paul. here is the text from the auction:
"This Les Paul is in MINT condition! NEW! The guitar comes with a perfect new hard case in a sturdy Gibson box!J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. is the only person to have taken this very guitar out of its case to test it out — pictured here with the guitar you’re bidding on"
I also got a pair of Dinosaur Jr earplugs and 2 Dino stickers as a gift with the guitar.Pretty cool,huh?
