Ok all, we had a lively discussion thread through out the season last year. Now with preseason games starting this weekend lets start our new football thread. Good luck to all and let the season begin!
As of the time of this post my Seahawks just beat San Diego, I know that preseason games don’t count, but its always nice to get a win right out of the box. Hopefully injuries won’t plague us like they did last year. If so we should fair pretty well this year.
Go Hawks!
August 13, 2007 at 9:26 am #131254I’m a Giants fan, tonas – – I may be wearing a bag over my head before the season is half over

Lots of question marks on that team, including whether ol’ Eli is ready to be The Man.
If NYG stumbles, I’ll start pulling for the Eagles – – I’m a McNabb fan from his Syracuse days.August 13, 2007 at 1:15 pm #131255McNabb should be good this year if he can stay healthy, who is Philly’s back up now that Garcia is gone?
I’m not a Couphlin (sp?) fan, and think that Eli would do better under another regime. The distraction of Strayhan holding out has to suck too. We’ll see how they do this year though I still think they have a little ways to go.
August 13, 2007 at 1:18 pm #131256the seahawks should be in contention this year… barring the john madden curse and the lack of a decent secondary.. i’ll be doing the green wave up here in alaska and probably make the trip at least once this season to go to a game…

AJ Feeley, Kelly Holcomb & Kevin Kolb (R) are #5’s back-ups right now.
I am definitely NOT a Coughlin fan, and I groaned on the day they hired him. He should be gone next season, and the new GM can then put "his guy" in there (whoever that may be – – would love to get John Fox of Carolina, but I seriously doubt it!).August 13, 2007 at 10:33 pm #131258"built_to_spill " wrote:AJ Feeley, Kelly Holcomb & Kevin Kolb (R) are #5’s back-ups right now.

You could totally luck out and get better than John Fox.
August 14, 2007 at 8:21 pm #131259…get your super bowl tickets now Stiller and Bears fans, its on in feburary. New coach Mike Tomlin has breathed a new brand of fire into one of the most physical teams in the league the result is the flirting with perfection the Stillers will face this year, my only worry is that the hype will get out of control after a guarenteed 4-0 start, da Bears are ready to show that they are more than a great defense with a sort of player under center. Devin Hester is playing recieve now which ensures fun for the windy city and the nfc is a mess so i really like their chances, i’m usually not this confident heading into a season so i probably am so wrong but it feels so right now…
August 15, 2007 at 2:42 am #131260I hope Atlanta replaces Michael Vick for his alleged involvement in "Bad Newz Kennels". Seattle Times reported he faces up to 5 years in jail, and a fine up to $250,000. They can replace him with Steve Bartkowski for all I care. Atlanta may be getting a quarterback from the Buccaneers if Culpepper Signs with them. It’s still unclear about Michael Vick’s 2007 season. Some say he’s suspended for the year and some say he’s just not welcome at Flowery Branch training camp. Go Falcons, and Gators.
September 11, 2007 at 9:50 am #131261Is it me or does the injury rate seem to be climbing at an alarming rate? 300-lb guys who can run 4.6 40s are doing major damage out there more and more. What’s the answer? I don’t know…

Hey, tonas, I figured out who should be next coach of the Giants – – BILL COWHER! Take it to the bank!
September 11, 2007 at 9:54 am #131262Ha, Cower would be good, you’ll have to wait until his youngest daughter finishes high school though. He said he wasn’t doing anything until after that.
Man my Seahawks looked good on Sunday, especially the defense. They are going to hurt people this year. They are very fast and extremely physical. Our offense will get going eventually, but until it does that defense is going to win us some games.
Bring on Arizona.
GO HAWKS!
September 11, 2007 at 3:18 pm #131263The Seahwaks did look good. The 49ers and cardinals are both improving, but barring any major injuries, the West belongs to the Hawks.
I was impressed with the Cowboy offense Sunday night. The defense will be better once Newman comes back.
The amount of injuries was mind blowing. Man do I hope the health of the player from Buffalo improves.
September 11, 2007 at 3:38 pm #131264Yeah thats totally rough for that guy in Buffalo. I remember when Mike Utley went down
. I hope he recovers well.Romo lit it up, I think he’s on a mission this year.
Did you see Randy Moss…… Heeeeeees Baaaaaaack.
There were a lot of injuries, but thats a part of the game. Its going to be a fun season to watch pan out.
GO HAWKS!
September 19, 2007 at 2:26 pm #131265I would like to thank my Chargers for showing up on Sunday night. Sheesh.
September 19, 2007 at 3:30 pm #131266And, I would like to NOT thank the Giants’ defense for making me throw up in my mouth a little and making Bret Favre look 10 years younger…
September 19, 2007 at 3:31 pm #131267Still in shock my Seahawks lost down in the desert. We should have won that game. We’ve lost down there 2 years in a row now, to the effing Cardinals. I hope we get it back together and beat Cinci.
