While its still fresh in my mind…
Almost ready
Been there all the time
Back to your heart
The lung
Little fury things
Out there
Pick me up
Feel the Pain
This is all I came to do
Forget the Swan
SludgefeastEncore:
Freakscene
The wagon
Mountain ManFrom little fury things on I am not positive of the order, and I have the feeling I am leaving a song or two out…
November 21, 2007 at 7:19 pm #132573I appreciate the set…. Though there’s nothing super special about it, I love knowing the guys are back on tour. Yay!

November 30, 2007 at 9:42 pm #132576yea jeremy, nothing super special bout it, must have been just so just sorta just ok to see them rip that out. Those kinda sets are just so boring, why do we even bother to show up to see that kinda shit?

Those kinda sets are just so boring, why do we even bother to show up to see that kinda shit?I’ve been feeling that way too, but it has a lot to do with how many times I’ve seen them already. For people who live in places where they rarely play, it’s still probably pretty thrilling to see them.
That said, it’s getting harder and harder to justify coughing up the dough — especially since most Dino shows are handled by ticketbastard — to see the same old same old yet again. They really should shake things up more, or take a break and do other things for a while. I’m dying to hear Fog material at this point.

Like King Tubby said, I’d love to hear some Fog material.

December 2, 2007 at 1:40 pm #132580…i was at this show and i loved it. It was my fourth Dinosaur Jr. Show and third reunion show. Was the setlist perfect, no? but hey, i’d listen to J play nursey rhymes in an igloo as long as he’s plugged in and turned up loud. And this band is so perfect together. No one playes the bass as hard as Lou, that’s just the way it is in bassland. Sure there are guitar players that play hard but they aren’t J, he is the loud voice of guitar, and Murph holds it all down with a fire rarely scene these days. Together it is so fun it almost hurts cause you know it won’t last. Not even meaning the long term whatever but that the set will never be long enough, good moments in life are so hard to find and when you do it is sad when they end but seeing Dinosuar Jr. was so good and right. I was actually fired up to here some of the post Lou hits. I’m guessing they are playing them to apease the evil fans shouting feel the pain at every show, but hearing feel the pain made me smile, not as much as hearing Out There, which i heard the first time i heard J play ever, my first Dinosaur Jr. show lollapalooza 93, His guitar wielding hooked me for life that day and that pittsburgh show last tuesday just solidified that moment. The comedy was the annoying fan next to me screaming for Sludgefeast, comedy being an annoying fan that actually knows the old material, i just wanted to shake this kid and be like there is a setlist prepared buddy if they play it they play it but you are only making them mad, alas they played Sludefeast and screaming fan boy tried to start a mosh pit. This occured a few times most successfullly during feel the pain. The personal comedy is that i was all about moshing back in 93, it was more moving together with the music at that time. Shortly after that show moshing morphed permanetly into an opportunity to try to inflict pointless pain on strangers. I danced at the show but it was more like rocking out in my own personal space. I love dancing it is fun, it is the purest exclaimation of joy out there, live music makes more sense than anything and i can’t wait to goto my next show, thank you Dinosaur Jr. for coming my way…
