I also hope everyone is having a wonderful Holiday season….this year more than ever……most of us here are speaking of how we feel the sun standing still……..solstice lasts for several days before and after……the dark comes so early……..so many parties and get togethers……we all start to wither when we think it is around 10 or 11 pm only to find out it just 8:30 or so, that has happened more times this past week! The old time of Saturnalia, we have all eaten more sweets than the body can handle, Baklava, pecan pie, peppermint cheesecake, chocolate covered strawberries, caramel popcorn, biscotti, shortbread, candies, Arequipe, Cocadas, Obleas (Colombian sweets sent my mail to us) In the words of the pot eating police officer "I think I’m dead…I really do! ………….Our good friend "Roadbird" has been making double distilled peach moonshine for several years now and we all have had a sip (for me only a few spoonfulls) and we follow that we some American Spirit hand rolled tobacco. The children have been having a wonderful vacation playing their I-tune rosters as loud as then can, which feature a lot of Fergie and various other Pop songs from the times…..my lovely little Scorpio daughter has hand made me over two thousand dollars in counterfeit 100 dollar bills, each one hand colored and precise. My three year old has given me the wonderful gift of learning to use the potty……and is walking around the house telling everyone "I yuv you, I really do"….the temperature today will be in the 60’s and everyone (except Dad) is helping me to feng shui the house. Our annual tradition of making a wood burning hot tub soak for midnight is underway………our Aries friend is bringing three grocery bags of fireworks. Happiness and Peace surrounds us……..I wish the same for everyone out there……….my only advice would be to folks who only have one or two children………..stop…………unless you are a crazy Gemini like myself, because you have to be very selfless to give attention to more than that…..I have so many things I want to do for myself but mothering is all I really have time for at the moment. I think the love and time I give will not be without reward………I see it everyday in the people that my children are becoming……..they are a combination of all of the best of my husband and I x4 and I’m really thankful to God for showing us the way….everyday. Although, I did tell my teenager the other day "If I could wrap you up into the shape of a football and drop kick you that would be wonderful" to which she then turned around and gave me a hug and said "I love you Mama"………..life is sooooo good. Although, more money would be nice in 2008, I know money isn’t the answer to happiness but it certainly makes things easier. Back to Feng Shui.
