Hey guys, what kinda bands do you really like listening to right now? For me I like listening to Delta Spirit. has anyone heard of em? My umgd roommate got me into them when we saw them perform live a couple weeks back and I’m so diggin their song Trashcan that’s on their imeem.com/deltaspirit page and the vid for it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-ocDGg-8eY is pretty awesome. it’s got this real indie/retro feel that I really like. I ended up gettin their Ode to Sunshine album last week when it came out and it’s been gettin some play time in the car. hopefully my roommate can score me some tickets to see them perform live with Dr. Dog soon. LOL so yeah, what are some bands you guys like?

Jesu. Heavy (yet ethereal), layered, hypnotic, stoney. More or less electronically-inflected depending upon the release, and VERY prolific. Since spring 2007 there’s been 2 albums, 3 eps, and two split eps, with another album and more eps on the horizon. And that’s not counting the guy’s remix work and ambient projects and upcoming album of noisy psychedelic guitar music, Grey Machine.

Shellac. I just saw them in concert, and honestly, that is one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. Those guys are insane live!
