good work with the tab

if you want to play it 100% correctly use drop D tuning (low to high DADGBE)

(edit – drop d only for the Pitchfork tv version, haven’t heard the album or live version)

verse is Am – C – G

J doesn’t typically use drop d tuning, he’s stays pretty standard and uses a capo for different voicings. I believe this song is in straight up E tuning. I believe his thumb in the video is doing nothing more than muting the E string.
