I love the sound of the acoustic guitar on the BBC recordings. I read somewhere it’s a Martin, but I have no idea what model. Anyone know?

      Thanks.

BTW what is the other odd shaped acoustic you sometimes see him with???

I’m not sure on the Martin. Though it’s more than likely one of their higher end models.

is this the odd acoustic you’re referring to?

‘m not sure the exact model, but I think it’s a Gibson CJ-something. It’s definitely vintage.

Thanks for the info Matthoney. I managed to find out which Martin.

He actually uses two, ones a D-28 short scale, the other is a Martin Newyorker.

Now I need to buy both :)

I looked into this before cos I liked the little Martin (which will be the 000-18) he played on The Martin and Me tour – I tried out some of the 000 Martins. The 000-16 is lovely, tiny, light but with a great tone. The Gibson is super-rare.
