I wrote The Kennedy Center to confirmed what appeared to be a free show by J Mascis and I just received this response, so I had to share it with my brother and sister fans so that we can go down there and pack the place!

“It’s true, J Mascis will be performing on the Millennium Stage on the 7th of September. It’s his solo show, and it’s unplugged – we don’t want to deafen the theatre-going crowd – but his latest stuff is acoustic , anyway, so it should be an interesting show.

The show is free, as is every Millennium Stage performance – everyday at 6:00pm in the Grand Foyer here at the Kennedy Center. There are no tickets for the event, and seating is made available on a first come, first served basis. My advice, show up a bit before 6 if you want a seat. Otherwise, it’s standing room only.
