I’ve found a few, here is a link to one and I’ll look for the other, I read it from my phone while laying in bed with Alvaro rubbing his back to sleep. I’ll have to remember where it was. Lou is such an awesome Cancer guy. I was never interested in water sign boys because astrologically we don’t groove so well. They tend to be the type to bring you flowers and write you poems…all the flowery romantic stuff. I liked boys who were kinda too cool for all of that and now….all the Mom’s in town with Cancer husbands, damn, there husbands be cooking brownies, taking the kids to school, mopping the floors and still going to work to pay the bills. As I’ve heard it said before “we get too old fast and too smart slow”. Lou talks a lot about his kids and Wow, the envy of it all. My husband is a great play partner with the kids but mostly, the attitude is…the kids, (their educational and spiritual welfare),the cooking and the cleaning are my “projects” and mine alone. The water sign boys I hang out with..when you cry they like cry with you…and I used to think to see a boy cry was the worst thing in the world. Now I see it differently. That is not to say Lou Barlow crys…but my other Cancer boy “friends”….they cry all the time! When my son was diagnosed with autism one of my male Cancer friends came over and cried with me…that was pretty special! Okay…enough of the blabbing…I’ve got to get back to mopping!

Nice Hans, I really like your style, so much about his band has been hashed and rehashed for years so it’s nice to see someone ask more interesting questions and nice for someone to take the time to answer.
Murph the babysitter..I love it! Those trusty Capricorns…when they get straightened out they are super dependable with the kids. Cancer/Capricorn dynamic! I had a Capricorn babysitter growing up, she wasn’t really into cutting loose and having fun with us, like some were…and if we wanted a cookie we had to get a napkin and a plate and sit down at the table, but she was a good listener. My Capricorn babysitter help to tell me the real story of the birds and bees because I had heard a rumor at school when I was in the 2nd grade but I was too embarrassed to ask my Mom so I asked my Cappie babysitter if that was the “truth”. She straightened some of my information out in a very comfortable salt of the earth way. That was nice…I was wide eyed and opened mouthed as I recall.lol, thanks Ana. Interesting observation of the deeper side of Murph on baby sitting duty. In my years as a journalist, one of the first things I do is find out what people always say about a musician and either not bring it up or take it to another level (like I asked Lou about the firing and asked for real specifics; that is the gist of the whole second part, but then I had a real interest in what that does to the dynamic of the band and how it has continued). Also, you have to be interested in your subject, and I’ve always loved Lou’s style. He’s a real dude. Plus Weed Forestin is vivid with character. I actually picture a bedroom when I hear it. I just can’t help it.
