Seeing as this is the only planned YLAOM live performance since 2005, making it a super rare event – I wonder how many people are gearing up to go? Plus it’d be really cool to see the band as a four piece, featuring special guests for a number or two during the other part of the show (non-YLAOM songs). So far it’s Johnny Marr, Kim Gordon, and a guy from OM.
November 21, 2012 at 9:43 am #139798I’m glad you started this thread. I meant to start one last week. So yeah, I’m going. I’m coming all the way up from the Baltimore, MD area. I’m pretty excited about it. Dino is my favorite and watching J play is somewhat therapeutic for me, so I said ‘what the hay’ and bought a ticket.
Yeah, seeing the band as a four piece will be very interesting too. I’m prety excited about Johnny Marr and Kim Gordon. I’m not too familiar with Al Cisneros, but hopefully he’s cool.
November 21, 2012 at 11:08 am #139799Al Cisneros is a bass shaman. I’d be most excited to see him with Dino if I were going.
November 22, 2012 at 9:40 am #139800Al Cisneros put together an awesome compilation album, Transmissions From Sinai, for Arthur magazine a few years ago that has a J Mascis song, War, which is great, as is the whole album.

December 1, 2012 at 10:51 am #139804To those extremely fortunate enough to see this show….please record it in some way! This will be absolutely legendary and it sucks I can’t drive from Cincinnati to New York to come see it or else I definitely would. YLAOM I’d have to say is one of the most important albums in my life and I’d go crazy to hear it preformed live in order!
