December 17, 2002 at 8:34 am #84159I like that list Mr Pong;Tom Waits is a fav of mine though I think Alice was`nt that great but Blood Money will problably make my top 10
What`s that Royal Trux album like?I heard that it`s from 89 when they were really messy(which might be a good thing
) is it songs or just weird noise? Cats And Dogs and Thank You are my fav albums by them.December 17, 2002 at 10:58 am #84160ACCELERATOR OR THANK YOU ARE MY FAVS.
its very messy indeed,
lots of noise and deconstructed rock,
much more like twin infinitives or the first album.i thought alice was better, but they were both great
December 17, 2002 at 12:32 pm #84161Accelerator is cool!
JUICY JUICY JUICE JUICY JUICY JUICE :aliensmile:Twin Infinitives I did`nt like much;I might check out Hand Of Glory anyway though.
Alice still had some good songs(Sea And Bird makes me all teary eyed
) just overall Blood Money is more consistant;what he should have done is pick the best songs from the 2 and issued it as 1 album;but then what he thinks was the best songs and what the fans think might differ.December 17, 2002 at 12:55 pm #84162i think waits was trying to cover a broad musical spectrum with those two albums,
and i think they work better as two,
as they can please a broader spectrum of fans as the sound differs…
I haven’t heard anything i don’t like by him,
letely i’ve been really into the black rider
as the sound differs…Royal trux cover such a wide spectrum there is bound to be some stuff that doesn’t appeal to people, apart from the fact they were so out of it….
lately i’ve been really into the radio video ep and pound for pound, even though they are not immediately great, they hold surprises after a few listens.

no order other than the top dog
Free So Free – J
Yankee Foxtrot Hotel – Wilco
Turn on the Bright Lights – Interpol
Blood Money and Alice – Tom Waits
The ID – Macy Gray
Slanted and Enchanted Redux -Pavement
You Know You’re Right – Nirvana
Bushleaguer – Pearl Jam (for no reason other than it’s anti-Dubya message)
These above three make me wonder if it’s 92 instead of 02
Back to the list
Vida Blue – Vida Blue
Live at Wetlands – Robert Randolph
Slow Century – Pavement
Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots – the Flaming Lips
J live at the Rosbud (pittsburgh)Full Circle
No films present yet. I think Barbershop might be the only 2002 movie I generally liked enough to mention. I usually slack on the 8 dollar tickets and wait for video sources and whatnot.
I had a crazy year. not crazy good or crazy bad just crazy.
My highlight, besides catching a foul ball at a Pirates game, might be finding this sight that lets me post my nonsense.I hope all is well in 2003 and time is friendly to all…
