July 12, 2007 at 7:45 pm #130715Thanks guys !
It was definately an awesome way to spend the night of my B’Day.
In the setlist I hade a question mark next to "Forget The Swan" ? , I knew it was wrong when I typed it (a few too many drinks !), it was actually "Lose", so I’ve removed "Forget The Swan" from the setlist and added "Lose".
The show in Melbourne I went to was at THE FORUM, when I saw Dinosaur Jr in 1995 and 1997 it was at THE PALACE which happened to burn down the day before this years show !July 12, 2007 at 8:15 pm #130716Here’s 3 different reviews :
They were awesome.
ECSR were brilliant too. Really great set from them.
Put my earplugs in. It didn’t seem as loud as I thought it’d be. Might have been
cause they were having problems with J’s amps and were replacing them during the set.
But his guitar sounded amazing anyway! Maybe too amazing! I would have liked to hear the
drums/bass and especially the vocals a bit more… but maybe that’s cause I was standing
against the rail a couple of metres from J. Probably half a meter to his right. =) His amps
probably drowned out the rest a bit. Played most of the songs I wanted to hear. Solo’s
were great.
I left the front and went up the back for the encore. and the mix sounded alot better back
there. Crowd was really good. No bottles flying anywhere =D
Great show though.
Fuck the show was pretty wild. The vocals really needed to be turned up though. Could barely
hear J singing. Lou’s vocals seemed alright though. Sludgefeast into Chunks was fucking
amazing*. Bummed there was no Mountain Man, Forget The Swan or Kracked. I was dying to see
those three songs. There was maybe a few too many from the new record, but they are touring
Beyond so you can’t blame them. Little Fury Things was fuckig rad. Been There All The
Time was really good too, as was Pick Me Up.
Wow!ECSR were ace. Brendan climbed on to a speaker and leapt up to the balcony. It was very
Pearl Jam Even Flow, he didn’t stage dive though. They played some new songs which was
nice.Dinosaur Jr were a little bit Dinosaur karaoke due to the vocals being mostly inaudible but
their instruments sounded great. I was against the barrier on Lou’s side, he smiled at
me when i beamed at him when they started playing Freak Scene. Freak Scene and Back To Your
Heart were my highlights.Great show.
July 12, 2007 at 10:06 pm #130717Man I can’t believe i still havn’t seen them, they have got too play close to cincinatti or something. I will be devastated if i don’t see them and they retire or break up or something.
July 12, 2007 at 10:06 pm #130718I also hope that this show winds up on free so free in the near future. I wanna here No Bones real bad.
July 13, 2007 at 7:07 am #130719I haven’t heard a live version of It’s Me, I bet it’s great.

July 13, 2007 at 8:49 am #130721I won’t be disappointed if it isn’t.

They may have played it at the recent Tabernacle show, but I was too busy reading you’s to be reminded they were playing.
