Yay… lots of people are asking now.

I knew who Zamfir was becuase of his connection to Napster.

1 – Zamfir joined Metallica to sue Napster.
2 – Kirk Hammett was a member of Metallica.
3 – Hammett played on song "Tommy The Cat" with Les Claypool.
4 – Les Claypool & The Holy Mackerel featured Henry Rollins of The Rollins Band whose first CD Lifetime was producer by Ian Mackaye of Fugazi.
5 – Fugazi on Iha’s record label.
6 – Iha with Corgan in SP.

Saturn9, Ira Glass?… that’s a bit too easy.

Piazzola –

Moscow Chamber Orchestra links him to Ira Glass to Philip Glass (oh my, between Corgan’s alterego glass and the other two… oh my) who Corgan’s song Glass + The Ghost Children is said to be inspired by.

If that’s not a good enough connection, I may need a little time.

Jaron:
Fugazi are not on Iha`s record label!
I doubt they would give the Pumpkins the time of day unless Shudder To Think said to be nice to them!
Ian Mackaye founded Dischord Records in 1980 or 81.
Try my Astor Piazzola question, there is a connection!

Urp, you’re right. Iha played on Fugazi’s Wack Azz Tuba Riff record though. Sorry.

Piazzola is not Russian!
Neither is Philip Glass!
Ira Glass I don`t know.

Fugazi does`nt have a record called that unless you`re talking about a different band.

Corgan played on Shudder To Think’s song "When I was Born, I was Bored." Shudder to Think ties into Fugazi because of the record label being owned by MacKaye.

Is my Piazzola explination acceptable?

Yeah, but CDs were put out by the Moscow symphany of some of their work. I have the Philip Glass one… very good.

That’s painfully obscure but you got me there. Question though: are you sure the band was LISTENING to it and it wasn’t dubbed in as filler? Just wondering.

The Pumpkins are Piazzola fans.
