I didn’t catch that show. I actually have never gotten to see the Pixies. My sister surprised me by getting me tickets to the Pixies at The Paradise in Boston a year or two back… but the voice mail telling me about it didn’t arrive on my cell phone until an hour into the set! Weird. She gave me plenty of notice too, calling at noon or so. So, I missed that show- since I live in Amherst and it takes an hour and a half to get there.

And that’s why I don’t have a cell phone….It may also have to do with having no service here. I’m primative.

So I’m not really missing much? I’m not much for talking on the phone anyway. I’m one of those say what you need to say and get off the phone types. Also if I’m forced to talk to someone at lengths I can’t sit still. I usually walk around, do a little dance, make a little love…

It’s sort of like, you trade in one convenience for another inconvenience… the convenience of reaching anyone in an emmergecny… the inconvenience of losing a signal mid conversation, having to stand in weird positions in your room for a better signal (sort of like dancing)… but at least im not the asshole who talks on the phone at the check out counter. Then again…. I love my 80 gig ipod but still manage to bitch about the fact that it takes over 2 hours to load all my songs on there…. but that IS over 500 cds… so why should I be complaining? I love (useful) technology but it has it’s… annoyances.

Oh. There was new material… you’ll hear it soon. Just wait, and itll be on freesofree. (i recorded the paradise show and will be recording pearl st tomorrow)…

hey, were you wearing that sebadoh shirt last night? and on lou’s side of the stage? if so, i saw you. i was the one w/ camera right in front of lou’s mic stand. had a black and very faded robyn hitchcock shirt on.

I was at 2 of the pixies shows in Mass, the one at UMass then the first date of the Lowell shows. I was also at the smith college sebadoh/j mascis/deepwound for about 3 minutes/sonic youth show. I was up front at pretty much all those shows so I probably bumped into some of you.
I was at the Boston show last night, and I’ll be at Northampton tonight so if you see some blonde guy with a sebadoh shirt on, say hi.

hahaha, i wont be so findable in two weeks though. im shaving my head to play the d.boon role in a minutemen tribute show my band is doing.
