Woah what a show. That was fucking amazing! It’s all a massive blur right now so I can hardly remember what they played but there were setlists floating around so I’m sure a full one will pop up soon. All I can say is that J was on fire, that solo at the end of Pick Me Up was fucking epic! I have a few small videos, I’ll try to upload them soon. The opening acts were decent, the first one who’s name escapes me were cool but a little dull to watch. The second, Mary Trembles were also decent although not really my thing. The drummer was very good and the lead singer/guitarist did an awesome job of amping the crowd and really seemed to be getting into it. Crowd was also good, lots of variety in age although there were heaps of people completely wasted. Some people weren’t even facing the stage at any time during the show but just moshing and throwing there hands everywhere.
Heaps of massive solos by J, the longest probably being the Pick Me Up solo which stretched out well over 5 minutes. He seemed so laid back when he was kicking major arse. Lou’s energy was great and he seemed to be loving it and said a few things to the crowd. Great drumming by Murph topped it off. Oh and it was LOUD.
Really was an incredibe concert and up there with one of the highlights in my life. What a truly great experience. Time to go blast some Dino Jr!
Lots of new songs. They played for close to 90 minutes, I think.
Here’s a video of Raisans.

Brisbane show was AMAZING!
Got back about quater past ten dino hit the stage around ten thirty. Things started out a little slow with J seeming pretty un-excited by the whole thing but after a couple of songs they were on fire. The energy between the three of them was so great you could tell they were all having so much fun especially when playing the older songs.
Highlight of the night was J in shredmaster 8000 mode, ESPECIALLY during the end of pick me up where he did a solo that as im insane said before went for well over six minutes, i was waiting for either my head to explode or J to drop dead from shredding so much, easily one of the best gig moments of this year if not ever. Also we got SLUDGEFEAST which absolutley flawed me live, couldnt of asked for a better ending before the encore.
The crowd was truly excellent heaps of middle aged ex-grungers who looked like the parents to the younger people in the crowd, toally friendly atmosphere with added freindly moshing, well done brisbane.
Easily one of the best gigs of the year so far.
July 8, 2007 at 11:24 pm #130563Well I’m pretty positive they didn’t do I Don’t Think So, cause I would have gone nuts.
They did however do Crumble and Back To Your Heart, which you don’t have listed yet.July 9, 2007 at 2:14 am #130564I think Gargoyle & Been There All The Time also.
