I suck with setlists but it was a typical 2007 Dinosaur Jr setlist. Songs included Freak Scene, Forget The Swan, Back To Your Heart, Feel The Pain, Almost Ready, Little Fury Things.

Great interaction with the crowd from Lou. Someone kept requesting ‘Start Choppin’ and Lou responded ‘i cant play that one’.

Crowd was pretty good…Dinosaur Jr always attract bogans and there were a few morons who were head banging and all that.

        Edited ^^

Also i can get the full setlist if anyone wants it. I got J’s guitar pick too.

I really wish Lou opened. I would kill to hear him live especially when hes taking requests from the crowd!!!! He was sooo funny though, im pretty sure everytime someone shouted out something to him that he looked at them and nodded or laughed. Also J went into a crazy guitar solo and Lou and Murph just looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders. I kinda felt sorry for Lou though cos im sure that his mic was way quieter than J’s. At the end of the encore he went to say ‘thank you’ and the mic wasnt even on…and he just shrugged. The sound was pretty bad at the front…couldn’t hear any vocals at all.

I got one of the Green Mind Alien shirts….fuck its awesome.

When everyone was lining up outside, Murph walked out and walked along the road. No one even recognized him!

Always great to see these legends in NZ. Not many bother to come here but this is the second time in 15 months and J and Lou have toured here individually before. Really appreciate it boys. If you go to the Studio where this gig was held, don’t stand near bar because idiots will try and get past you all night. They were moving around during J’s solos for fucks sake. Wonder why they are there. Obviously not for the music. Sludgefeast is as always awesome and it was great to hear Chunks. The new stuff came off well. Lou was in a very cheeky mood and Murph was having trouble with the tuning of his floor tom and kept hitting it and pulling funny faces. They set his kit up right at the front of the stage and looked as if it was going to fall off a couple times. The sound was not as loud as St James gig last year but all the instruments were well balanced. Just Lou’s voice was hard to pick up. Opening song had no vocal sound from J. They tweaked with their instruments/amps alot which suggests things were not ideal for them. J was actually more "talkative" than usual. Only real complaint was it was a bit short (85 mins) but well worth every searing second.

Hey was my first Dinosaur JR gig and thought it was awesome, especially sludgefest. Anyone get a T Shirt?? I got a large beyond shirt, since they ran out of mediums. Just wondering if anyone got a medium and would be keen to trade. Too big for me which is really annoying.
