Do you think J uses a computer algorithm to pick song titles?

However 2 titles stand out Several Shades of Why & Very nervous and love…..
I’m going with these being the best songs on the album! Yeah right… :D

HONESTLY can’t wait for this – Best birthday news ever!!!

So you remember Lou complained about J’s lyrics on farm? Perhaps this being an acoustic album will mean greater focus on lyrics?

I am huge fan of Dinosaurs but J Mascis (solo) may be to need more attention in ears if He just do simple album.

              I’m so happy I wrote a poem:

              I’m very happy because
              Foona2’s wish has come true
for it sounds like j will do
              just a simple album

              March seems so far away
but I do hope that idea has J
to bring his pocket packed bearded ass back
to the Caledonia to play simple solo album

his fans in Athens to make known care
              could shower him
              with cake and coffee.
              and ask ri-donk-cue-less
questions like "Could I be in your band?"
(actual question that I’ve heard asked…more than once…)

              J Mascis…Can I be in your band?…I can play a fuckin’ mean rhythm egg..and I’m not kidding!
and contrary to the fact that I carry around an extra 35 lbs…I don’t eat much.
              THAT IS THE TRUTH.
OMG..I think I just had a Tony Raines moment.

              yes, I did….have a wonderful week y’all!

I missed that. Can you remember where reading this? It’d be neat if J bust some briefcases and goes poetically distanced on us.

It was mentioned in a number of items during the promo for farm. Example:

                  "Interview with The Skinny" wrote:
"…When we were finishing this record, I felt very strongly that we could have spent more time on it. I said as much, and it was very controversial.” Mascis offers a wry confirmation. “Well, he basically said he didn’t like the lyrics – he thought I could write better lyrics and I should spend more time on them.” Would Mascis criticise Barlow’s output? “That doesn’t go too well. Murph did that on this album. That was quite a drama.”

                  Thread

I think the lyrics on farm are sort of breezy and go with the record but an acoustic album could definitely use a something more.

Yeah, I love that album! Great stuff..it’s funny how J’s vocals work well in both loud/garage stuff AND in acoustic, soft stuff.

Love Dino and J… but I can’t stand Martin and Me….

The Dino acoustic stuff was cool… Song for Playboy, Jonesy Jukebox etc.

                        But Martin and Me… Yuck

Nice, it doesn’t sound like his old acoustic songs, really sweet, it reminds me of Gram Parsons

I’ve read on a couple sites where they call it "his first solo album"
Does Martin + Me not count? That’s an album right?
