Does Big Muff use batteries only when it is activated(when it makes that muffdist. sound)? Or does it also use batteries when I only play through it(clean sound)?
I think it only uses when i push the button, but i want to be sure..

It uses batteries whenever there is a cord plugged into the input (guitar) side, even if the effect is bypassed (clean mode). So, if you want save batteries, make sure that you unplug your guitar from it when you’re done playing. Almost all guitar effects pedals work the same way.

Don’t worry about it using power when it’s bypassed though, the Big Muff uses only a very small amount of power to get it’s effect. The battery should last a very long time as long as you remember to unplug the guitar when you’re not playing. 8)

              Ok.

One more question. If i use an adapter, do i have to take the battery away or something?

              "there is no stupid questions"..

No, the adapter jack in the pedal automatically switches the battery off if the plug is inserted. Try it out, put the adapter in the pedal, but leave it unplugged from the wall… The pedal won’t work, even if there’s a fresh battery in it.
