      Hey,

      I need a geeky tech to tell me how to transfer a microcassette recording to cd. Is it possible? Do I need to buy lots of expensive crap?

        Go to Radio shack. Show them the microcassette player/recorder. They will sell you a cable which will plug into your computer from said player/recorder.

        Then, download some shareware (if you need names, I’ll get them for you) for free that does the whole thing.

        I’m assuming you know how to burn .wav files to CDR (and that you have a CDR drive)?

          Oh yeah, factoring cost of blank CD, and cable – $10 max.
