I dont have the new album so I dont know what songs were played but I didn’t recognise a few. So from what I remember they played

South Of Heaven, Raining Blood, Seasons In The Abyss, Angel of Death, God Hates Us All, Dead Skin Mask

yeh they were awesome and it was really funny watching the hardcore slayer fans getting in all the emo’s faces because my chemical romance played after them, it was like a warzone in the crowd :D. Sucks about not seeing them till next year, are they one of your favorite bands? I was really into them a few years ago

yeah my boyfriend in high school got me into them…i’ve seen them like 6 or 7 times and can directly trace a loss in hearing to a slayer show on 9-8-98… i was about 15 feet in front of jeff hanneman and they were playing dittohead :o

tapes ‘n tapes – the loon. can’t say enough good things about that album. I’ve heard some people describe their sound by referencing pavement, dinosaur jr, Wire, Beach Boys, and Pixies but I think one of the guys on Sound Opinions (which is a great show/podcast btw) say the vocals of a young gordon gano. I don’t know, I the songs are solid and it is great for the drive in to my cell everyday.

I was thinking about checking out Slayer on this tour. Have not seen them live since the old clash of the titans tour with Alice in Chains, Megadeth & Anthrax. Just check out some of the live vids they have up.

be your own pet has one I have taken on a few jogs lately.

Really into where you been again at the moment but there never really is a bad time for that ;)

also Sebadoh III is getting its fair share of spin again over here. :)

..it is a great album indeed, and that Sounds Opinions guy might have a point with Gordon Gano…. 8)

I would have loved to seen that tour. You should see Slayer if you get the chance, as soon as they came on stage it started raining… unfortunatley it wasn’t blood :( :D

Also, I don’t understand the hype around Tapes n’ Tapes. They just sound like a generic current-generation indie band to me.

Re: Melvins new album ‘A Senile Animal’
We have a promo of it from Ipecac where I work.
It’s the best Melvins album in a LONG time. More like Houdini than anything else.
                                  Very instant.
Huge songs- so much Dale action. It’s ENORMOUS.
                                  People are gonna love it….
