September 5, 2006 at 11:26 am #121325yeh they were awesome and it was really funny watching the hardcore slayer fans getting in all the emo’s faces because my chemical romance played after them, it was like a warzone in the crowd
. Sucks about not seeing them till next year, are they one of your favorite bands? I was really into them a few years agoSeptember 5, 2006 at 11:12 pm #121326yeah my boyfriend in high school got me into them…i’ve seen them like 6 or 7 times and can directly trace a loss in hearing to a slayer show on 9-8-98… i was about 15 feet in front of jeff hanneman and they were playing dittohead

September 6, 2006 at 8:17 am #121329tapes ‘n tapes – the loon. can’t say enough good things about that album. I’ve heard some people describe their sound by referencing pavement, dinosaur jr, Wire, Beach Boys, and Pixies but I think one of the guys on Sound Opinions (which is a great show/podcast btw) say the vocals of a young gordon gano. I don’t know, I the songs are solid and it is great for the drive in to my cell everyday.
I was thinking about checking out Slayer on this tour. Have not seen them live since the old clash of the titans tour with Alice in Chains, Megadeth & Anthrax. Just check out some of the live vids they have up.
be your own pet has one I have taken on a few jogs lately.
Really into where you been again at the moment but there never really is a bad time for that

also Sebadoh III is getting its fair share of spin again over here.

The Specials – The Specials

We have a promo of it from Ipecac where I work.
It’s the best Melvins album in a LONG time. More like Houdini than anything else.
Very instant.
Huge songs- so much Dale action. It’s ENORMOUS.
People are gonna love it…. -
