I don’t know if you people remember this, or have ever heard of it for that
matter, but it seems that the original Dinosaur Jr fan site has misteriously
turned back up on the web. It’s Wibble the Troll’s UnOfficial Dinosaur Jr
Page. It disappeard back in ’96 and now seems to have reappeared. It hasn’t
been touched since ’96 and who knows whatever happened to Wibble himself.
This is the guy that Jamie essentially took over for with his Turnip Farm.
Check it out, it’s a good bit of history…

Don’t know if it was the first one but it was the first great one! You can see where I started making my way to the web @ his picture page (look at the bottom)

I think the first ones were either the
blank.net one – http://www.blank.net/band/dinosaurjr/
or Kamadas – http://www.lab6.kuis.kyoto-u.ac.jp/~kamada/dinosaur.html
*those links probably do not work anymore

How did FreakScene begin – (very short story)
I believe Wibbles school at the time killed all outside access to their servers so the page was unavailable to anyone that was not at the school. Jamie was working with Wibble and on his own site. I came into the picture by wanting to add to Jamie’s sites. I felt he had all the news and info while Mattman had all the midi and tabs so to bring something original to the web and accent all the great stuff that was already ‘out there’ I created FreakScene (dubbed the dino a/v archive) for multimedia files which were non existant at the time. Ok, you can wake up now

I noticed some other posts going to Wibbles discography section throught the boards too.
