Just 10 days to go, I can’t wait. Annoyed about Sonic Youth/ Bardo Pond clash but I’m seeing Bardo this Thursday so it’s not as bad. Anybody else here going? I’m gonna get totally wasted the whole weekend, i just picked up a nice amount of green

Hoping for some new Dinosaur material and Whatever’s Cool With Me

December 11, 2006 at 11:01 am #123531Just got back from a great weekend. Dinosaur ended up playing twice because too many people showed up for the first show so I got 2 Dinosaur’s for the price of one

Lee Ralando came and sang Little Fury Things on Saturday which was really cool and later Thurston said happy birthday J.
Yeah We Know was the highlight for me but Kracked>Sludgefeast was just as good. I loved Lou’s new one, I still thought J’s was good. Here’s the set lists, couple of tracks may be in the wrong order

December 12, 2006 at 4:38 pm #123535Yeh it shows they’re getting a bigger fan base. I hope it encourages them to play more UK dates the next time they come back.
December 12, 2006 at 5:20 pm #123536Dinosaur twice in one night, doesn’t get any better than that. Sounds like a great time, thanks for the review…
couple pics of the atp show…
December 13, 2006 at 10:53 am #123537It was def my highlight of ATP! Saw Dinosaur Jr first time in Helsinki last year, but they didn’t play any of the 2nd gen-> stuff so wasn’t expecting them any of that this time either.
Boy was there a big smile on my face when I heard soothing chords of Out there intro!
Highlight as well was meeting J shortly and ask him to sign my Without a sound booklet. Hope it wasn’t too awkward situation for him… Was hoping to meet Mike Watt as well but that remains a dream now.
It was really nice to see how nineties saturday crowd was as well, at least watching from the back all the crowdsurfers…

love the purple balloons around the Marshalls for J’s B’day…
December 13, 2006 at 7:45 pm #123539Thats a cool pic, I caught one of the balloons off murph’s drum kit. I should have taken a camera because I was right on the barrier for the second show.
Found a couple more pics of saturday’s show
