Just listening to Out There from the North Hampton show (Lou on bass), and wondering if there is a decent tab of this song anywhere. It sounds so fucking good live, and I would love to learn it. I haven’t come across one… a good one at least. If there is a good complete one, I’d love to see it. :)

The tab that was on JustLikeHeaven site was correct for the most part. There were a couple flaws in the solos, plus the last part of the second solo was not tabbed out. It simply said something about "the rest of the solo is a flurry of notes" etc. etc. it gives you a scale name to go off of though. As for the live versions that I have heard, J never plays the last part of the solo anyways as he has to sing over it….so he goes back into the rythm section. I think I have only seen one tab for the song but it is pretty much right. The stuff that isnt right is a fun little challenge to see if you can get it right. I learned it then had to change it a bit to fit my vocals but its pretty much the same.

Also, it took me about a month to learn this song and another month to get to where I could play it moderately fluently. Its friggen fun now though, for sure my favorite song ever…fave since I was 12.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who took a long time to get this song down. Sadly, I can nail the opening solo pretty much…still can’t get the "rhythm" part down. Didn’t realize arpeggiating chords would mess with me so much. Still, this is my favorite song of all time, so I keep plugging away.

Also, from all the video I’ve seen, J NEVER plays it the same way twice, so I guess you have that on your side.
