Allison, why the (chicago?)bears? why not support the denver oil midgets or some of the other teams?
September 3, 2004 at 5:39 pm #104292I can’t really explain it, I’ve been hypnotized by the BEARS since the late 80’s. They have such a great football hx, think they started in the 1920’s.
Iron Mike Ditka was the coach…loved him, gotta check out his restaurant in Chicago
So glad he didn’t run for the republicans in Illinois this year
They had a bunch of players I admired, Richard Dent, Dan Hampton, Jim Mcmahon, Butthead their field goal kicker, wicked football players, great smart ass attitudes
No other team excited me the way they did, always hated the cheese wearing packers & vikings who play in our division, so that was the bonus to being hyPnotiZed by the BEARS

He did`nt let The Packers get to him,he just shot at them
September 3, 2004 at 6:22 pm #104294First Georgia home game tomorrow, GOOOOOOO Dogs!!!!!!!!!!

I like the sounds of that…

Can’t wait to play them this year, think they’ll be without their best db mike mckenzie, ahman green no longer with the pack…

Think our new pass rusher Ogun will put lots of pressure on that cheese wearing qb, numerous sacks
& interceptions would be pretty pleasing
can’t wait for regular season to start, need to see the A team take the field…thursday is the day
September 6, 2004 at 9:26 pm #104296…Willie Parker made the final roster, their was much rejoicing in scatback stiller fans worlds. We also kept tired old Willie Williams who deserted for more money back in the mid 90’s. He better see little time in the secondary or else no get burnt because i can’t aford to buy a new tv. I’m so ready for the yound secondary to take over. Terry Fair was intriguing but he didn’t make the cut. Can’t believe Deion is in the division. Hope Randle El gets to run a few go routs if they match up in the slot this year. Also kept Matt Krancheck a huge tight end from the rich football talent pool of Penn State, who opened their season in fine form winning 48 to 10 i believe which was good to see, or at least hear; however Yacov Isreal did get cut from the steelers, probably a while ago being so undrafted and undersized for the nfl, although i believe he can play free saftey at that level. World Bowl MVP and former Penn Stater Eric McCoo couldn’t make the Eagles roster even with their need for healthy running backs, very sad indeed. The season is so close i can practcally feel the fever flowing…
September 8, 2004 at 2:24 pm #104297Oi, don’t leave me hanging, what happen in the cleveland game?
September 8, 2004 at 5:23 pm #104298We lost…

I had hoped to win, even though preseason games are meaningless, especially the last one, which is just a last chance to evaluate players before final cuts have to be made.
I’m not at all confident in our offence, Rex Grossman was crappy again, our receivers did not make the plays…
I’m pretty confident about our defence, Urlacher will play on Sept 12th, O-Gun got some pressure on the qb in his 1st game with us. Canadian guy made the BEARS, Israel Idonaje, 6’7" 290 lbs… :aliensmile:Season starts tomorrow evening, Colts versus Patriots, should be an exciting game
Best game of the week is on Sunday, BEARS versus Lions @ Soldier Field, need to open the season with a decisive win
Lions haven’t won a road game in ages, not gonna happen in CHICAGO

I just ordered NFL Ticket, 20 bucks a month for every single game…

Go BEARS Go

well, better to f*ck up before the "real season" starts I guess.
also, with that NFL ticket deal I suspect this thread will grow to insane pagenumbers with all the match reports we’ll be getting

+ a lion could never beat a bear, that’s like pitching tiger woods vs a ninja, so I’m sure you’ll start with a win.
September 8, 2004 at 5:46 pm #104300He’s huge!!!
The storyline is they’re putting out a vanilla offensive game plan before the season starts, don’t want to give away any secrets…not sure I buy that story

Agree about those Lions chances against The Mighty BEARS, I feel for Jaron…he’s a lions fan, gotta be tough

& yes….the INSANITY begins soon
:aliensmile:September 10, 2004 at 2:51 pm #104301I was so pulling for the Colts yesterday, they gave it away with interceptions & fumbles

Patriots are the real deal though, Brady is a wicked qb, great protection from his line, he had tons of time to throw the ball…quite accurately
Cool to see a couple ex BEARS out there, Keith Traylor & Rosie Colvin…
Dolphins vs Titans moved up to saturday d/t Ivan BEARing down on the gulf coast
September 12, 2004 at 11:50 am #104302fifteen minutes until BEARS versus Lions @ Soldier Field
..all nervous, worried about the lions ending that 23 road game losing streak in Chicago, gotta happen sometime…fingers crossed it’s not gonna happen this w/e

Go BEARS Go

Go BEARS Go!
September 12, 2004 at 3:50 pm #104304Love that car

BEARS sucked today, penalties, turnovers, miscues, blown chances :slap:
Can’t believe Grossman, has two downs to win the game with under a minute…rather than throw the ball away, stop the clock & try again,he throws a ridiculously poor pass for an interception in the endzone…BEARS lose to the lions

God, we play the pack next, bet we start out 0-3 this year

Stillers win, at least something good happened in football today
September 12, 2004 at 4:22 pm #104305yeah, stillers looked alright.
Polumalu isn’t a player. Maybe a free saftey, cause he is fast, but he isn’t getting it done, got burnt once for a touchdown. Clark Haggens played a hell of a game as did Larry Foote, who stepped in for star Kendral Bell. Defense is solid, young secondary will grow, Ike Taylor no where to be found, looked like /Cokelee/#21, second round rookie corner, might have gotten banged up near the end of the game. Like to see Ike get back in the nickel. Duece is a beast. Runs tough as all get out. Bus got all the glory. 5 carries, one yard, three touchdowns. Tommy had a bad fumble but looked shockingly moblie at a few points. Any win in this league is a good one, so bring on week two…
Did catch the last play at Soilder Field. Rex definitly tried to force it in double coverage, exciting finish though, it is a long season, anything is possible…
saw bills lose on last play as well, end zone catch replay drama, touchdown.
Deion returning punts today.
Can’t wait for ravens stillers games.
ready and rowdy
