Here is a link for William Hogarth, an English painter/engraver of the late seventeenth/early eighteenth century. He specializes in social class depictions, focusing more on gamblers, pimps, highwaymen, necessity vs. inclination etc. Try "The Rake’s Progress" or "the Harlot’s Progress for starters in the section on progresses.
