strange double post….I can’t see anything on the lap-top. I don’t know what I’m saying. Good night.

I could’ve done without the ass crack in that shot. Eeeew.

That’s the fellow (butt crack) that ended up hit in the mouth, bless his heart, you can imagine, at one point, I was thinking, this isn’t going to look good but he seemed to enjoy bleeding, he was still smiling. I forgot to add, what’s with the drums up so close to the front, that was different.. Oh and I wanted to add, I’m SORRY, I used the word little to describe the fellow….that’s derogatory and I’m sorry, Oh, and I spoke to Kevin Sweeny and he said…..I should take back the with holding pay comment….that it was over the top. He also added that he didn’t think the crew was responsible for what happened that night sound wise. So like forget I ever said it….OKAY.

On second thought, I say it’s good to spread the blame around because that’s one….. on third thought, peace, peace, I’m holding my peace.

oh, and speaking as a guitar player, I’m guessing J’s wrist was wrapped to fight off cramping and the effects of carpal tunnel. But that’s just a guess….

I think this is almost done now but I wanted to add (such a Gemini, what can I do)
that is/was one big ol’ flesh wound…not a brace. Just like I can tell the difference between a good night of playing music verses not so good. That is a bandage not a brace and if a guitar player was to experience trouble with a wrist, I would imagine, but this is also just a guess, that it would be the one that helps the fingers push hard against the frets holding down the strings…that’s the one really moving like a mother, doing the harder job ….right……………I’m guessing that’s from a small explosion or fire because that’s just how Sag’s ride. I’m old enough (and smart enough, hee..hee) to know you keep the fire signs away from the fire otherwise something always ends up smelling like burning.

You will be able to find Sloans recording here at Southern Shelter very soon but first take a listen to the Dinosaur Jr. show from 12/3. I can’t believe how great each song is…even a song like the Lung that’s been done and done and done lately sounds so fresh and a little different and GOOD that night. Almost a flawless show…really. I’m actually a little afraid to hear the show from 4/20. For me it’s going to be like volunteering to be water-boarded or tasered, but I’ll do it and probably crunch my eye brows together and wince a lot.

While you are waiting scroll down and listen to Madaline’s track 13, Black Out, I love the way she does that song……..so sweet.

It’s surprisingly more tolerable then I thought. I’m still trying to listen and put my finger on what is was that night that seemed so off. I think, Lou sounds like the one really working hard to keep the ship upright. He’s bailing water like crazy with his playing. Weird timing thing between Murph and J…..I think. Perhaps some spirulina in the smoothie in the AM, that always helps me. I got to unload the dishwasher while listening to "Feel the Pain" and I got to really feel the pain. We have a competition each year in Athens called the "Battle of the High school Bands" Feel the Pain really sounds like it could have been an entry this year right along with the others, I mean they would clearly go on to be the winners,

I’m really glad no one is around recording my off nights as a parent and then offering them up for public commentary…..that’s for sure.

but Lou…..saying "you don’t want to hear a bunch of songs you have never heard before..Come On" ……Ohhhhhh, Noooooo……probably not the best banter constructed of the night.

Overall, I get the feeling of the Little Engines that Could. Really by the time they get to Sludgefeast and Chunks (which sounds pretty lively) I see now they had made it to the top of the mountain and all the girls and boys in Augusta and beyond were going to get their gifts and Lord knows we have had our share of gifts here in Athens.

Listening to The Wagon this morning. , I did cry out several "You Can Do It’s".

My 4 year old just said the cutest thing….he said "Mama, mama..I had a mosquito on my arm and he was going to hurt me with his nibble but I got him to go away."

I’m going to go hurt him with my nibble right now!!!! :D
