What did yáll think?
Without wanting to appear to be whinging…(cringe)…..I thought it took them a while to get going, and I wasn’t convinced they had the mix right on Lou’s vocal mic. The smallish crowd appeared largely lifeless apart from the hard-core mosh pit massive down the front….anybody else get that vibe? But once they were into it, it was as fucking serious as ever, highlights I felt were The Lung, In A jar, Sludge and No Bones, and I was stunned and stoked to hear The Wagon and The Cure cover to finish. But overall, not as enjoyable as the two London gigs in October ’94 or the Mascis sol-acoustic shows from a year later….
Auckland stagedivers were classic, and how was the rock chick who showed the crowd her tits???
I was very glad for the bits of rubber bunged in my ears
