i saw them at the metro in chicago on their breakout tour.. i remember the show was killer… their sound has never come close to the original album.. at the time i thought thery were better and deeper then radiohead. boy was i wrong.. i do remember the guitar layer was quite the ladies man.. he had a harem off groupies hanging by his amps the whole show.
back on topic. i forgot to mention sebadoh;s the freed weed… that album is one of the best low fly editing masterpieces ive ever heard.. ive still never been able to find it on vinyl… its like a whole album of poledo hijinks and tape loops… amazing ..

You know on second thought, Jeremy was pretty young when Diary came out. I think he was just around 18. Maybe his voice hadn’t completely changed yet. That may have something to do with it to. But even when he talks now his voice is pretty raspy. There definately has been some damage along the way.
