bugs have feelers just like meThis is what it says?! I’ve always thought it was,
"Love the catepillars muching on the leaves,
Pitter-patter makes me forget my disease."Also, those lyrics are from Quest, not Mountain Man.
Anyway, best Dino lyrics in my opinion is the song ‘Water’, the whole song is genius.

That’s right! I’m foolish. Gotta love the Edit button.

First person I ever did seen’s into lyrics for "Water"–my #1 too, really awesome how the lyrics stretch and wave around the rhymes/line breaks (kinda like enjambment in poetry), something like "dont stay in long, no one’s that strong enough not to crumble whenever the water wants you", so cool and dark.
Fogle
PS: I’m also into "Mindglow", a totally (in my exp. at least) overlooked, never-mentioned song–acoustic solo, thickwaver riff, and defeated but beautiful lyrics about letting go. dang.
January 11, 2005 at 12:34 pm #106863I’ve never been able to put my finger on exactly what it is about ‘Water’ that "get’s me" (heh, heh) but I agree that the flow of the lyrics is just amazing. I also just love the not-so-hidden symbolism of the water over-taking a loved one. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what J’s writing about but I think it’s a really creative way of getting the point accross.
‘Mind Glow’ is great as well. I consider it one of J’s best mellow songs.
