Beyond – Mixdown?

Is it just me or do a lot of the songs on Beyond seemed mixed a little hard to the right?
The drums arent as powerful as some other albums either

not complaining, just noticing…

its really obvious in my car on a couple tracks, especially "Almost Ready"

Over time I’ve noticed that the bass and drums are more pronounced in the mix when I listen to it on my discman than when I have it cranked on my massive dubwise stereo. I think they might’ve decided to mix the album in deference to the youngins, who seem only to listen to music on their little ear buds. A smart decision on the marketing front, I guess.
