I was also thinking about it….I think it would be nice if we all could chip in and buy J something from FS. Im not sure that he would fully accept it, but it would be a nice offer and he would be re-assured that his fans love him and his work and want him to continue rocking. I personally dont have any gear that he would want I dont think, but if I did, it would be his. If nothing else, we could just give him a bunch of money…then he could go to Ebay or where ever he wants and buy his own pick of stuff.

just kidding. but seriously. I am glad all flesh is intact; the machinery can be replaced over time. and the house is still functional…rain not landing on heads is a good thing.
would be interested in chipping in for the fan gift that everyone has been mentioning. someone, please keep me informed.

– A basement fire in the house of rock musician Joseph Mascis Jr. Tuesday night left $100,000 worth of instruments and equipment damaged. According to Fire Chief XX, firefighters were called to Mascis’ house a little after 11 p.m. When they arrived, the basement was filled with smoke and there was smoke “wisping through the floor joists of the first floor.â€
