WEDNESDAY 29
ROCK
Thanks to Mission of Burma, who made old people smile by picking up right where they left off, now every Boston band think they can just get back together and make new albums and they’ll be good- or at least not embarrassing. The original DINOSAUR JR. trio- J Mascis, Lour Barlow, and Murph- spent last month recording a new album "at Bisquiteen, the recording space at J’s house in Amherst, Massachusetts. The album, to be released on a label yet to be determined, will be produced by J Mascis, engineered by John Agnello and Justin Pizzoferrato, and mixed by John Agnello." In case you don’t have the reissues in front of you, this’ll be the first album by that line-up since 1988’s BUG. With any luck, we’ll get a sneak peek at the new stuff when the band play the Paradise with open THALIA ZEDEK.
