My favorites from that album are Freak Scene, No Bones, The Post, and Don’t. You pretty much can’t go wrong purchasing any DinoJr cd but I wouldn’t initially get Whatever’s Cool with Me (even though the song itself is great) and Fossils since they are b-side and an early day singles collection discs and not a formal/proper release. I actually prefer the releases from Green Mind forward. They have a more polished sound to them but alot of people (possible most fans) prefer the rougher sound of their early releases. Also some of the early DinoJr disc are going to be re-released sometime in the future. Your post has actually made me listen to Bug. It’s good and I hope you enjoy it and feel it is worth your money.

So, I see you like zen archade by husker du. Then there is no doubt you will like Bug (slack, melodic, noise). Make sure you get ‘you’re living all over me’ -essential. If you can find their first LP called "dinosaur" you would have to be stupid not to buy it. "Dinosaur" "YLAOM" and "BUG" are quite different but it capture’s dinosaur jr’s fury and every thing that made them good.

Later dinosaur jr albums ‘green mind’ and onwards are still good but much in a much different level. J mascis matured. But J’s and Lou’s immaturity is part of what made the band great in the first place. So, later Dino albums such as ‘where you been’ aren’t as edgy and are a lot more generic. But still the music is melodic, soulful and everything else that makes music good, It’s just not as mesmerising as the early stuff.

make sure you buy ‘more light’. J’s solo album.

Hüsker Dü and Bug both rule.

                      Huzzah!
