This setlist isnt in order- but I know they played these songs. I tried to record it but my minidisc recorder screwed up- i got all of the lung and freedom some of out there, free so free, sludgefeast, the wagon, and if thats how its gotta be. what i did get sounds really good- so it really pisses me off. J played awesome,as always, but really seemed to be on. it was a great show. i was really happy to hear no bones and a great version of sludgefeast- no bones was a big surprise. J even played his "burned guitar". He played some awesome solos on free so free and the ammaring-everything he played was great but those really stuck out to me. It was good to see that hes still using the fuzz probe. Everybody lets me down sounded really good electric-even heavier than the album version. George played great as usual-i cant really see anybody else being able to drum for J as good as him-theyve been playing together for a long time now.Matt Hunter played good too- they were really tight. I got to talk to him for a while after the show- he said thanks to everyone for the pedal- but he hadnt had a chance to try it out yet. I guess that fire really got a lot of his stuff- which really sucks-he tons of great gear. I also got to speak to george for a little while, he’s always really nice. I think somebody asked about the t-shirt designs- if i remember right- there is a black one with the free so free album cover and a white one with the picture thats on the actual cd.
well here is the setlist as good as i can remember:
      The Lung
      Freedom
      Out There
Free so Free that much is in order the rest is questionable
      Ammaring
      Sameday
      Repulsion
      No Bones
      Sludgefeast
      Little Furry Things
      Get Me
      Everybody Lets Me Down
      Set us Free
      Tell The Truth
      Just like Heaven
      Encore:
If Thats How Its Gotta Be
      Freakscene
      Wagon

Sorry it took so long to get this up here- i took a lot of pictures so ill try to upload those later tonight. I was hoping to see Jeremiah there but I dont think he was there- but i did get to see some other people that i had met at some other J shows so that was nice. I’ll try to get what i did get recorded up on one of the ftp’s. If you get a chance to go see them on this tour dont miss it. You’ll regret it.

hey HATCHETFACE, thanks a lot for the nice review & the setlist. I really appreciate all the details as I’d like to see one of these shows, myself…
Thanks also for the bits about your talk with the guys. Great that they don’t let that fire get them down, although the destruction must be enourmous :(

And finally, there are real Freesofree t-shirts :!: :P I wonder if they are sold anywhere apart from the shows :?:

…would be fantastic to listen to the songs you got to record!

I saw no charred guitar, maybe wrong but dont think so. He used 2 guitars. The 62 Blue/tortois pickguard jazzmaster was used until the E string broke during Freakscene. So he grabbed the 59 Blue/gold anodized pickguard jazz to finish the show. George was great as always, does that man ever make mistakes? And Matt was really on time for it to be the third show he has played with J. All i can say is, cant wait for them to hit the Carolinas again.

                    hi that_fits!

welcome to the board. Assume you had a great time at the concert. I listened to the charlotteville recording and I think the bassist is the right man for the job, sounds like he’s really into it allready. I like the basslines to be much like they are on the albums, and they really were so it seems like he’s picked up the sweet basslines to the bone.

It seems like you’re a bit into guitars. the 59 Blue/gold anodized pickguard jazzmaster, the blue color is that its’ original paint? or has it been refinished at some point? any idea?

                    thanks.

I didnt think he played the burned one either- but i asked him about it after the show and he said that he played it- but he had cleaned it up. So i guess it was one of those. Thanks for the correct setlist. I couldnt remember if he played freakscene for the encore or not.
