I find it annoying that they have to add in little tidbits like "J, 39" or (stands for Joseph). It really ruins the flow of the article.

Yes we need to know more about Witch

Jenny Jones is a day time talk show like a trashy version of Oprah. It’s much like Sally jesse Raphael. filmed in chicago. it’s usually about makeovers or cheating.

It’s kind of sad that not more events are trying to book Dinosaur Jr. I’m sure that there will be more North American shows after Download though.

I think Kracked is kind of an odd choice for a song to play. It’s pretty aggressive. Mind you it’s a hard one to screw up and will show off the bands raw power. I’m pretty excited for next Friday

I googled mascis + witch and found this

        Labiators Shows Page
… APRIL 2, BROOKLYN, NY, PROJECT ROBOT, WITCH (FEATURING J. MASCIS AND MEMBERS
OF FEATHERS). APRIL 5, ASHEVILLE, NC, HAND CRANKED LOUNGE ON TINGLE ALLEY …
        http://www.labiators.com/shows.htm – 18k – Cached – Similar pages

however when i tried to get to the page the show was not listed. perhaps it was a cancelled gig that was archived by google

maybe "They" put on YLAOM and heard the screams at the beggining of Little Fury Things then skipped the tracks and said "okay tell them to do this one"

I was a little confused by that as well. Kracked is sort of an obscure tune, really. Of course, to the mainstream, all Dino songs are obscure so one’s not really more preferred than another. If they just listened to the CDs and decided from there, I’m kind of surprised they didn’t choose Pond Song or The Lung since they’re probably the most catchy and least loud of the old stuff.

Maybe they took it down because they were getting too many hits for J. Mascis. I would be bummed I missed it. I have never seen J play drums. If I get a chance I will ask him about Witch in LA.

I was thinking that too. I listened to Bug in the car today and for the first time I really enjoyed Don’t

anyway, I think the perfect song to play would be "Budge" -> poppy, lou and j can sing on the chorus.

the post would also be good. what a great melody in the chorus and great playing in the instrumental part

I should have pointed out the article, being on Teletext, was split up into 7 or 8 cycled pages in its original layout. So writing it up as one big chunk does make it look a bit disjointed… but still those things you mention do spoil the flow regardless!

yes but nothing like splitting it into 7 or 8 pages right :D

I mean, if I didn’t know I would like to know that his name is Joseph and he’s 39. Entertainment weekly always makes sure you know how old the people are…

well, i think you have to realize that the audience who look at teletext is not confined to people who just read music magazines … it reaches most households in the whole of the uk! so that’s why they had to explain things that most j fans would not need to know … just imagine your mom stumbling on this article + having a read … :D

+ also, i don’t care what song they play … i’m just glad they’re going to be on tv for their sakes + ours … dinosaur jr/j/lou were never on tv much (and that includes their videos), so this is a really a big deal for us and for them … i mean hell, even their friends (ray neades + maybe more) are excited about this too … and like i said, i really hope there is a way for everyone who can’t view it 1st hand to be able to see it too … please, please, please …
