I was just wondering if anyone else does circuit bending, if anyone else even knows about it yet…

I got a boss DS-1 that I striped and re wired and get a very interesting noise with it, The distortion is twice as much but still very usable, it also has some other noises it puts out like this odd ringing that almost acts as a bit crusher.

Ill post this sample I made, its obvious i’m not doing the guitar work, it was too hard to switch while playing so I just sampled some other guitar works, The first one is bypass, the next 4 are an example of the distortion effects, the 4 after that is bit crusher/ ring modulator I was talking about.

EDIT: the file was taken off, if anyone knows where I can put the file up again let me know, I can also put up the schematics for the pedal as well.

this is the new link to the sample I made, it should stay up for much longer now, the sound quality isnt as good as I thought it was (but I was listening with head phones). if anyone wants to know, my opinion of the best tone is the very last one.
