OH, I forgot -11 Robert, my son asked me a few weeks ago…why do people live where it is so very,very…cold..Do they not know about other warmer places? I had to explain to him, things like family…and how one gets sort of use to their environment. I had a job once in a place that was 0 degrees and I woke up and thought I was going to have to go to the hospital…I was working for a woman named Mindy Cole….a crazy director who was and is still a Scorpio…and as I was laying on the ground whimpering…she was standing over me and screaming "Are you effen kidding me……what the truck..get the truck up and deal"….then my revenge, she came to stay with me in Georgia in June…and we got up to 100 degrees…and she kept telling me she felt sick, like she needed to go to the hospital. I reminded her of a time she wasn’t very sympathetic with me, and she said "well, that was over 10 years ago….you were young and I was young…this kind of temperature is dangerous for older folks…older folks, she was like 50 when she came to visit me in Georgia. I should have yelled at her…like she did with me…."GO INSIDE AND DRINK SOME WATER….FREAKIN SIT IN SOME AIR CONDITIONER..JEEZ….DEAL WITH IT!"

I absolutely love where I live. Yes, the winters can be cold and long but it’s so beautful out. I love the snow and how clear and bright the stars are at night and how it feels so nice to come inside after you’ve been playing out and your cheeks are all red and your ready for hot chocolate and how the trees look like fireworks frozen in the air at that very special time at night when that sky gets that beautiful shade of blue. And then you have spring! And the earth comes back to life and flowers bloom! And the rivers, lakes and the ocean are still freezing but it feels so nice to swim on hot hot days. Oh and then there is fall. My most favorite time of year in Vermont.

But then again don’t get me wrong. There are times when I wish I was back here.

So jealous. Kansas is always bitter cold, or it feels like a blow dryer in your face. I think there are about 15 days total where the weather is agreeable, and that is only if the wind cooperates.

I totally dig where I live. The Pacific Northwest is amazing, the mountains, the ocean….. on sunny days there is no place like it.

I can go to the woods if I want or the big urban sprawl of the city all within maybe an hour of each other.

I’ll probably stay here forever.
