red letter day was the name of a buffalo tom album but not a song (it’s a lyric from "torch singer"). However The Get Up Kids have a song called Red Letter Day

I should have remembered that TM song,actually I was listening to Red Heaven today,no song on it called Red Heaven though.The first Throwing Muses album is a classic in my opinion,you can get it as a double cd called In A Doghouse with some other early stuff,check it out if you have`nt heard their early stuff.The Real Ramona is really good as well.
