I’m shocked, after all these years I’m finally beginning to see some decent new bands.

My faves (with radio single for e-z recognition):

The Strokes-feel so bad
Spoon-Everything hits at once
Coldplay-DAMN! whats that new song they’s doining
The Doves- Catch the Sun, kinda old, still kickin’

The Spoon album"Girls Can Tell" that song is from is good,Believing Is Art is another cool song from it,they used to be on a major label for one album and got dropped,they used to be on Matador,left them and did the major label thing and now are on Merge.

Coldplay’s 3 singles have been: Yellow, Shiver, and Trouble.

Shiver had no video.

Did shiver even get airplay? I don’t believe i’ve heard it.

Around here it went #1 on the local station’s nightly request show for a good week or two. Fairly popular.

I understand in some parts of the world Shiver was released first and it recieved little airplay. But the second time, (after Yellow) it got a good bit here in Richmond.

Saw Coldplay in DC at a huge Festival show. They were great but didn’t really fit the environment (Stabbing Westward, Live, Fuel, Staind, Fatboy Slim, Linkin Park, and the other groups like that).
