Yeah the Rams/packers game should be cool, best thing is that if the Rams lose the NFC Championship game would be at Soldier Field I just can’t see the pack beating us 3 times in one year, most BEARS fans want a rematch so we can send the pack where they belong…back to gb for the off season
All nervous about the game saturday, good nervous though…I predict The Mighty BEARS win 720-2
2-2 on wildcard w/e Thought san fran could beat green bay…NOT. Terrell Owens is just too much with all that whining, sounding a bit like chris carter/randy moss…and what was the deal with that hat

We have a lot of great football fans here who love to give a couple smart ass comments which is cool, the personal crap though, says more about you than anything else dude

January 15, 2002 at 5:36 pm #67850No, actually its not, but hey found an article for you
http://www.nola.com/news/t-p/frontpage/index.ssf?/newsstory/cheese12.html
A Train named as Rookie of The Year for Offense, Bell from The Steelers gets the Defensive Rookie of The Year award. So cool, two years in a row we have one of the best rookies in the league!!!

ps adding those smilies thru edit doesn’t change the initial rudeness of your post
[ 01-15-2002: Message edited by: Another Girl Another Planet ]January 15, 2002 at 5:53 pm #67851There was no one worthy of Defensive Rookie of the Year. No one.
January 17, 2002 at 6:06 pm #67852Jaron your not saying because Urlacher set the standard so high no one can match it are you
Here I go running my mouth again Dick Jauron named coach of the year… Ted Washington going to the pro bowl in place of sapp (how the hell did he get picked anyway…he had a horrible year) Brian Urlacher came in 2nd to Strahan from the giants for defensive player of the year…not bad for a 2nd year guy.
Go BEARS

January 17, 2002 at 7:14 pm #67853The Bear will not fail us on Saturday. McNabb looked great against tampa, but who wouldn’t against tampa. Our defense, I’m confident can contain him. and their defense isn’t anything to write home about. I’d prefer if we’d play green bay, plus there is a guy locally who is going to manufacture Pizza heads to combat those pesky cheddar heads.
Go Chicago

January 18, 2002 at 12:22 am #67854Jauron–Kendrell Bell is a fine pick as Defensive Rookie of the Year. Nine sacks is a heck of allot for a Middle Linebacker, and his impact was pretty big for the league’s #1 Defense. What more could you want.
I’m pretty psyched about all of the games this weekend. I like the Steeler (of course), Raiders, Rams and (sorry) the Eagles. If the Bears can win with Jim Miller at QB, then watch out next year when they get a REAL QB…
January 18, 2002 at 10:45 am #67855I agree HTW, Bell did a wicked job as a rookie, tough to follow Urlachers performance but he did and deserves the credit.
Thing about Jim Miller is he doesn’t lose games for us…like the dreaded black cloud that was cade mcclown He gets the ball off quickly, rarely is sacked and basically gets the job done. I agree we need a more balanced approach, but A Train and Booker & D Terrell are pretty cool weapons so we have a pretty decent running game and the threat of a passing game…if shoop doesn’t go all conservative on us We are 13-0 when we score 13 or more points, 7-1 at home this year so may the best team win There has been talk around Chicago about Bledsoe, I would be very cool with that if we can get him cheap. Need to sign the rest of our D and Kruetz so we can have another good year in 2002 though.
My picks for this w/e…BEARS, Patriots, Rams and Steelers.
Go BEARS

Hit The Wine, when I heard he won, I literally went, "Who?"
January 18, 2002 at 9:22 pm #67857Fair enough, Jauron. To be honest, I didn’t see Urlacher play at all last year, I only kinda knew who he was. Same reaction here. We usually get the best NFC game in Pittsburgh between the Eagles, Packers, Rams and 49ers in that order. Hopefully he will beat the hell out of the Ravens RBs on Sunday and impress the heck out of you!
January 19, 2002 at 5:35 pm #67858Mat I’m with you, all week all I’ve been hearing is how great the eagles played against tampa…big deal!!! One of the eagles wr said he thought the BEARS would be easier than tampa mcnabb said he is going to put his moves on us running and we can’t catch him…well I kinda doubt that!!! Anyone remember The Fog Bowl in 88, they were saying all the same things about randall cunningham, we moved on and the eagles went home. So hey, lets hope its a great game in Chicago, looking forward to our D meeting mcnabb
Its been an amazing year though, we have been last place in our division thru the last four seasons:eek: and look at us now. Dick Jauron Maxwell Coach of The Year Award, Anthony Thomas Offensive Rookie of The Year, Urlacher 2nd in Defensive Player of The Year voting (Urlacher 20 & ray lewis 2..hehe). Well represented in the Pro Bowl, that is so cool. We won the NFC Central Division at 13-3, hard to imagine a better year…yeah right
Go BEARS
Allison
ps this BEAR fan, real grabowski, stopped shaving and didn’t cut his hair from sometime during the 2000 season. Protest of sorts, until the BEARS made it to the play offs. He’s getting his head shaved at half time online…should be hilarious…sorta

January 19, 2002 at 9:24 pm #67859well, it’s too bad that individual accolades and lip-flapping fans don’t win playoff games…
pretty pathetic performance by DA BEARS today. oh well, there’s always next year…but hey, at least urlacher ALMOST won defensive player of the year, right?!!?
now on to the game people actaully care about…the pack vs. the rams. should be a good one. actually, it’s good that DA BEARS lost to the eagles, as they surely would have been embarrassed by whomever wins tomorrows game.
January 19, 2002 at 9:44 pm #67860Damn Damn Damn, our inexperience showed…gotta hate that. The 1st 25 minutes we were so tight, god just when we got it going Miller gets knocked out, felt some of the magic go at that point. I actually thought he was going to come back sep shoulder and all, he was throwing outside the locker room…but no I think shane matthews got less than fifty passing yards for the rest of the game:eek:
Gotta give the eagles credit thou, they played a great game on both sides of the ball. Kinda dirty thou with four personal fouls, not good. Gotta love the heart of the BEARS thou, more guys get knocked out…Brown/concussion, Booker/shoulder, but push it and go back in. Fingers crossed shoop doesn’t return as offensive coordinator, he was one of the few not offered an extension recently so you never know.
Lame way to end the season, but hey I still think The BEARS have had an amazing year. Looking forward to the rest of the playoffs…Patriots, Rams and Steelers
Nice to hear from you dude, charming as ever
