I want to be the millionaire’s wife.

Okay, so here’s the scenario…Robert is a super evil genius who is also the pilot of the plane we’re on. He says :Quick! Pick 3 discs and don’t be a sissy!". We’re all confused and scared but completely in awe of his power and overwhelming sexiness.
Then he gives us a discman, some super long lasting batteries, and a parachute before he throws us off the plane and tells us to swim for it.This being the case, I would want to take something with sentimental value. So maybe my list would be:
Stiff Little Fingers ~ Inflammable Material
I’d want to hear Barbed Wire Love and think about the last time I heard it while I smiled and smiled and smiled.Pixies ~ Doolittle
This album is super special to me because it makes me think of fun times and wonderful people. "All I’m saying pretty baby…"Pavement ~ Wowee Zowee
I can remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when someone gave me this gift. I remember laughing so hard when listening to Best Friends Arms. Happy happy times.January 31, 2007 at 4:57 pm #125361"girl " wrote:I want to be the millionaire’s wife.

Robert should be the professor,or maybe Kurticus

Doolittle over Surfer Rosa?I don`t get that though Monkey Gone…,Tame, and Debaser are pretty cool

I never quite got the appeal of Wowee Zowee.Sure it has some moments but it`s nowhere near Slanted and Crooked Rain but that`s just me.

I find it interesting how much props Pavement is getting. Might have to put together a list of how many times the same band is mentioned, then we would know the "ultimate 3 albums".

beatles – help
slayer – south of heaven

I’d want to hear Barbed Wire Love and think about the last time I heard it while I smiled and smiled and smiled. If you were in the UK you could see them perform that album in its entirety. They’ve been inspired by the "classic album" series of gigs that happened in London last year to do a short tour based around Inflammable Material. I’d kill to see them play State of Emergency and Rough Trade — once I saw them play Breakout, which was fantastic!

Or you’ve never taken a drive with a friend and made a game of trying to make up words to Best Friends Arm to describe your surroundings and then you had to threaten to crash the car if your friend didn’t stop putting their hand under your arm when the song says "Keep it under your best friends arms"?
When I’m on my desert island I want to think happy thoughts. -
