Where’s the report / setlist from last night’s show in Detroit? Come on guys, wake up and let us know how it was! I’ve gotta see how hard I’ll need to kick myself for not making the drive!

Thought the set in Cleveland was so great that I drove straight from school solo to see them again in Detroit. While I was waiting watching Love is Laughter I look to my side and J was standing right next to me hanging out. I leaned over and said great show last night and he smirked, nodded and then got hounded by about 5 people. Dinosaur set was different then in cleveland, they played repulsion for sure. I stood right in front of J by the stage the whole show. It was great, the encore was kracked/sludgefeast and then just like heaven/chunks. People were moshing and it was kinda stupid really, I don’t understand that shit….I mean whatever you can do it but why wouldn’t you want to see the band play, watching J rage solos is unbelievable! Whatever to each his own! Great show and I’m glad I checked them twice on this tour….hopefully someone will have a set list cause my brain is fryed from no sleep and driving!

          Thanks stimp!

Glad someone made the drive. If I wasn’t so damned responsible I’d have gone too! :x
Sounds like it was worth the trip, but maybe Cleveland was the better of the two?
Anyone else care to chime in? Come on Detroit-ers, start talkin!

I had the pleasure of seeing both the Cleveland and the Detroit show. Huge contrast between venues
HOB: air-conditioned, amazing lights, no dinosaur backdrop
Majestic Theatre: no air-conditioner, standard lights, the band appeared to have to bring their own sound system, Dinosaur backdrop was used however

The detroit show just seemed a little more aggressive and fun. The heat was unbearable at times so that added to the "we’re all in this together feeling" but the heat seemed to bring out the best in them.

Overall I’d say the detroit show was better than cleveland because of the atmosphere and it felt like you in 1987 due to the conditions of the venue.

Out of the two shows I liked the set better for cleveland (and the air conditioning) but the atmosphere was more alive for Detroit, both were great shows and I’m glad I got to see ’em both, wish I could drive for the Milwaukee show but I’m borke now and that’s pushing it!

Sorry it took me so long to get the setlist up. I went to the Cleveland, Detroit, and Covington shows. Sound wise, I’d say the Detroit show was the best. In Cleveland, J’s wah gave him problems during 3 songs. It was almost unbearably hot in Detroit, but the sound was so fat.

                              Stimp,

I wish they would’ve played Mountain Man too. It’s funny, I never really liked that song on the album, but seeing the download festival video changed my opinion. Seeing them play it live was such a rush. They play that song so damn hard. J broke the trem on his strat when he was playing it at the Clevland show.

Maybe they didnt play Mountain Man in Detroit because J is using the strat to play it.

                              Take care, Tom

To be honest the first Dinosaur album didn’t age well with me for a long time, I mean I would randomly toss it on and give it a spin but it didn’t grab me at all. Now it is different, after much gearing up for the Clevo & Detroit shows I have found a new love for that record. I know what you mean about those songs, I think the remastered version of that album does it a lot more justice. anyways yea I’m just rambling, peace!
