      Hmm, what’s Dino’s pick? I heard somewhere that its a cross between the 2 but i’m not sure…

        Being that J is so into vintage gear I would have to guess analog. I don’t know though its getting harder and harder to find tape these days and when you do its usually expensive.

          analong is the only way to record good music… the magntetic forces at work in the media actually carry spiritual energy, i.e. phantasamagoria… try listning to an old cassette of YLAOM, after tippling a few snifters of absinthe. it definately sounds different.. even the advanced digital music we have today still has that hollow non-magnetic feel to it.

            yah cds compared to vinyl records sound really thin
            and cold
            anolog sounds so much better to my ears
            but i do like the convinence of cds and mp3s but it just doesnt have that warm milkyness of a record
            and that really disappoints me

              there is an essay in the great book the job by william s burroughs where he explains the whole analog verses digital thing. he talks about experiments he and brian gison did in the 60’s with magnetic tapes.. you can actually record spirit voices if you do it right… i think i heard some of those on the freed weed ..
