yes i live in hagerstown. we’re leaving at noon (to hang with lou for a couple hours) and we’re not coming back after the show. so if you can be at my house 11am-12pm you can come, but we cant bring you back.

Thanks Jeremiah, there’s a guy who was able to describe what I was feeling a lot better and while holding his peace. The inability to lock in a tempo….thats it. The effect it has on a listener is jarring. This was not a problem the last time they were out and about. Could it be that J has gotten hard of hearing after so many years and somehow is now unable to tell what everybody else is doing? At other times it seemed to me that J could hear but what he was hearing was a very tired Murph beating soft and slightly dragging to rush.

The writer says at times he could feel each one taking their own parts into separate realms without considering the song as an entity. That’s the bad sex I was talking about…I couldn’t articulate it better that morning but he said what I was trying to say. Nothing like having sex with someone who is in their own little world forgetting that you exist.

I don’t know what kind of sound they had at the Ottobar but when he speaks of the dominace of guitar, it’s been mentioned here before but often I go to a show because I want to see the guys play and then I get smart and move back so that I can hear them play.

A much needed break for them to enjoy the beautiful month of May.

when i saw them in buffalo murph fucked up a lot causing lou to fuck up and j to just keep playing. i like when they fuck up though. gives the show more character and if they are in a good mood it can be hilarious. lou and murph played natural one in between songs for example. the sound was really good there. in akron the sound wasn’t as good but they played so incredibly it didn’t matter. they fucked up during feel the pain, and j’s power went out for a while but the show was just all around better.
they are probably getting used to touring this long again after having some time to do other things.
