        Perhaps J is due for a visit from the "Queer Eye" boys. )

        I always thought that a celebrity version of Queer Eye would have been ratings gold and some good TV viewing…
        "This week on Queer Eye… Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

        But seriously how funny would if Lou or Murph dobbed J in.

        The Queer Eye guy’s would definitely force J to get a hair cut; Carson would give him that terrible ‘Rock Star couture’ jeans and blazer look. The little guy who does the ‘culture’ section of the show aka the Fab Four’s Bitch would help J get intouch with his inner-child, and to write a song in honor of his band mates……while also making sure J makes eye contact with the crowd while he performs.

        Then cut to end scene Murph and Lou arrive at J’s house
        Murph : I can’t believe this is the same house … I love the Shabby chic look
        Lou : {in tears}

        The new Metro-J enters

        Murph: Oh my god your hair, your clothes……you made bruschetta?
        Lou : {Now hysterical}….J…I mean, you look, you…you.. ………{more tears}

        J: Its ok Lou, thanks to the Fab four, things are going to be a lot different from now on, Im NOT going to take you two for granted, from now we’ll do all our communicating from here {points to his heart}… this is a second chance for me…for ALL of US…..

        Lou stares at J with astonishment, J notices the acknowledgement, and the two share a moment…

        Lou: YOU! {points at J directly, proudly}

        J: no…YOU!! {points straight back at Lou }

        Murph watches on as this very private moment unfolds before him. A single tear rolls down his soft cheek, symbolising somewhat, the reunion of these two old foe’s. Once considered nothing more than impossible, this forbidden friendship unfolds before his very eyes….He then slowly starts clapping…. gradually getting faster and louder before erupting

        Murph :OH YOU GUYS!!!! {shakes head in disbelief..}

        All:Group hug

        end scene

            I never throw the word "sell-out" around too loosely. It has lost any hope of containing a genuine connotation.. Agree w/ you on the rapper clothes – I just wouldn’t wear them. Meanwhile, I am still holding out for my dinosaur chucks..

            Axl converse = the only thing worth living for, right?

            Hey, sorry if u took my last post the wrong way :( I wasn?t accusing you of calling Dino ?sell-outs? at all.
            Rather my comments were directed at the whole forum in general (not an angry attack on your previous post), to get peoples opinion on music critic?s and their hypocrisy when writing about groups in different genres of music. (e.g. rapper vs. indie rockers)

            And in regard to you, ‘holding out’ till Converse brings out a Dino shoe? hey you never know it may happen(considering they’re the same company as nike) …but lets just hope the do a better job than there last effort with a rock band!!!? ;D

              Converse would sell so many if they brought them back….although all these hipsters in girl-jeans would be wearing em :P

                  1. Those shoes are vile in the extreme.

                  2. I think J’s ‘design’ is one of his more perverse jokes.

                  3. J would never wear those things. Dino mersh is usually good. I’m sure J would wear the various Dino T-shirts if he wasn’t J. You know what I mean, he wears those Wipers and Electro-Harmonix shirts.

                  4. To all those who understandably avoid Nike for ethical reasons and laud the Chuck Taylor’s, Um, I’m sure I read somewhere that Nike bought Converse a couple of years ago.

                  (Edit: Duh, sorry Mr Bateman, you already mentioned point #4 )

                      The indie kids that are so hung up on "selling out" always cracked me up. I’ve always felt bad for indie bands, because many of their fans are so fair weather.

                      Sign to a major=sellout….How stupid is that. The musicians should just focus on doing what makes them happy.

                      I saw an interview with Thurston Moore where he was comparing punk and rap, and how they were both pretty radical forms of expression. He went on to say that a big difference was raps attitude toward becoming popular.

                      Here’s what Paul Leary of the Butthole Surfers has to say about that:

                      "If I ever got grief from those people, I would just tell them to kiss my ass. *You* go live in a fuckin’ van, you asshole. You go home to your nice mommy-and-daddy little bed there and think about what a sellout I am."

                            Most places I’ve looked, the kids love the shoes, some don’t even know a thing about Dinosaur, just love the shoe.

                            the sellout thing, gotta love Paul Learys reponse to that crap!

                              Does anyone know a street date for release on these shoes yet? I would hate to miss an opportunity to buy them (in a size that actually fits).

                                from what I’ve read on some sneaker forums (who knew they existed :o) looks like early fall, October seemed to be a popular guess… ;D

                                Hopefully we’ll get a firm release date soon, can you preorder from stores…not a sneaker girl ;)
