I was just wondering the same thing. Hopefully we’ll hear something soon.
October 20, 2006 at 8:20 am #119468I am glad this topic came up again because at the time I could not remember the name of the book I had read.
but a few weeks ago, I found it in the attic……………………….A book called "childrens lifeworlds" by olga nieuwenhuysj
The book takes a close look at children who are forced to work in India…………
In a surprising twist we find out that working children in India rate their life as happier and more peaceful
than American children of the same age. Studies show it could be the fact that the children are very close to their parents and other siblings during the day, are never put into daycare they are fed at their mothers breast (which produces a deeper connection with-in the brain as well as a closer connection to the mother) over all the children seem to have a "deeper connection" to life.American children in the same age range, many from wealthy families used words like sad, depressed and lonely to describe their lives, although these children do not have to work and spend hours going to movies, restaurants, school, dance or music lessons, baseball games, playing video games, things the children in India only dream about.

December 15, 2006 at 6:09 pm #119477Now I’m all for this…but I just don’t get it.
What is the connection between DJ and Nike? I never would have thought that DJ is a big enough band that Nike would be interested. Now I can see a U2 shoe.
December 15, 2006 at 6:29 pm #119478whats U2 got to do with skateboarding

I’m thinking the cool factor came into play with the Dinosaur skate history…

The long-awaited Dinosaur Jr. SHOE will be available for purchase in February at all authorized NIKE Skateboarding outlets. To find an outlet near you visit the NIKE Skateboarding website HERE… The shoes themselves will be revealed at the Tampa AM in January and may be available for sale at the gig but we’re still not totally sure. These shoes are limited and will go FAST. If you want a pair, be sure to look up your nearest authorized outlet and stay tuned…start calling those shops…
